Paint
The dirt is a warm dark colour. The grasses, flowers and rose-hips seem to be all the colours possible. I paint over several days. The weather changes and I need to construct a plastic shelter over my easel. The paint goes on dry and dragging in the hot sun when the canvas has warmed. In the cool rain the paint glides on.
Feel
I am really nervous. I have put so much into writing and planning this series but can I actually paint it? This is this is my first Handling Chaos painting and I jump in and feel instant relief that all will be OK I will be able to paint this.
I choose a tangled wild meadow and like the overwhelming complexity sickeningly too much to interpret view. I am a Mom I can understand many layers
I have an artist retreat they might as well have one too.
I ask my children to paint one painting a day with me. I figure if I have an artist retreat they might as well have one too. I set up a second easel for them to use one at a time.
